AS YOU LIKE IT
July 9-25
Love comes alive in the forest of Arden as Cupid's arrow strikes both Rosalind and Orlando. What happens in Arden doesn't stay in Arden, as All the World's a Stage in William Shakespeare's pastoral romantic tale about frolicking lovers, sibling rivalry, and the all the stuff that dreams are made on-oh, by the way, there's a happy ending too-four weddings and no funeral.

THE MERCHANT OF VENICE
August 6-22
The Bard's treatise on Mercy and Justice. Themes of humanity, dignity, revenge, cruelty, and greed are all explored in the character of Shylock, one of Shakespeare's most tragic figures. Placed within the structure of a romantic comedy against the background of Medieval Venice, this is both Shylock's story, and a conflict of two fundamental religious ideologies.
